The art of the Piercing Lance discipline came from those men and women who sought dominance on the field of war while not sacrificing the power of both the mounted charge and the mount itself. For some, those that thought they could not partake in a martial art while riding an animal, the art was lost upon them. For those who trained their animals to participate, they found superiority over those who scoffed. Piercing Lance is a discipline that relies on the dangerous techniques of both jousting and mounted combat. With a strong emphasis on working as a team with their mount, the Piercing Lance adept is someone who is capable of patience and knowledgeable enough to teach these techniques to their animals. As a result, Piercing Lance's associated skill is Ride, and its weapon are light lance, heavy lance, spear, ransuer, and long spear. This is the revised Maneuver.I changed the dice damage on some maneuvers to make them close to par for spell damage and added new maneuvers to some. +- changed maneuvers *- New Maneuvers Piercing Lance( Specialty, Medium Damage) Maneuver List 1st Mounted Warrior: Stance- Gain +10 to Ride checks while mounted. Bronze Lancet Charge: Strike- This attack must be part of a charge on a mount adding +1d8 damage and does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Bronze Hoof: Strike- Make an attack and urge the mount to attack as well, both attacks inflicting an additional +1d6 points of damage. Bronze Lancer’s Edge: Boost – Mounted charge attack inflicts an additional +1d6 points of damage. Swift Rider’s Endurance: Stance- While mounted the rider’s mount gains a +20 bonus to movement speed. Sidestep Canter: Counter- Make a Ride check against a foe’s attack roll, mount makes a 5ft step to avoid attack. 2nd Dismounting Strike: Strike- Leap from saddle back to attack, adding +10 damage.+ Hastened Burst: Boost- Until the end of the round you gain a +20ft to movement speed while mounted Sweeping Swing: Strike- While mounted and charging, attack inflicts an additional +2d6 and ignores DR and hardness and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.+ Rally Mount: Boost- Make a Ride check and grant mount the result in temporary hit points, removes frightened condition. 3rd Saddled Warrior: Stance- Mount uses the character’s initiator level as its base attack bonus (if better). Heavy Handed Blow: Strike- A powerful overhand blow that inflicts an additional 4d6 points of damage and potentially knock an opponent down.+ Iron Lancer’s Edge: Boost- Mounted charge attack inflicts an additional 3d6 points of damage and ignores damage reduction. Iron Hoof: Strike- Make an attack and urge the mount to attack as well, both attacks inflicting an additional 3d6 points of damage.+ 4th Dismounting Leaping Strike: Strike- The adept leaps from saddle back and delivers a powerful strike inflicting an additional 25 points of damage.+ Iron Lancet Charge: Strike- Mounted attack while charging inflicts an additional 6d8 points of damage and does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Trampling Rush: Strike- Make a mounted overrun attempt on an enemy with a +6 bonus; if successful the enemy is knocked down and trampled doing an additional 8d8 points of damage and does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Mounted Retort: Counter- Make a Ride check opposing an enemy’s attack roll; if successful the attack is blocked and the mount may make a retaliatory attack with a +4d6 damage bonus.+ 5th Iron Horse Stance: Stance- Mount gains DR 5/-, +4 to AC, and attacks made by mount inflict an additional 3d6 points of damage. Twisting Buck: Counter- Make a Ride check opposing an enemy’s attack, if successful the attack is redirected to an adjacent enemy. Duelist’s Charge: Strike- Charge a mounted opponent, if successful make a bull rush attempt to dismount the enemy, attack inflicts an additional 6d6 points of damage and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.+ Adamantine Hoof: Strike- Make an attack and urge the mount to attack as well, both attacks inflicting an additional 6d6 points of damage and ignore damage reduction.+ 6th Lighting Rush: Boost- Gain a +30 bonus to movement speed while mounted until end of turn. Glorious Charge: Strike- Make a mounted charge at a target and inflict an additional 8d8 points of damage and does not provoke attacks of opportunity, daze target for one round.+ Rear Kick: Counter- When flanked, mount may make an immediate kick behind at flanking attacker, inflicting an additional +5d6 points of damage, potentially knocking an opponent back 5ft. Steel Lancer’s Edge: Boost- Mounted charge inflicts an additional 8d6 points of damage and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.+ 7th Wounding Lance: Strike- Charge attack that inflicts an additional 10d6 points of damage and inflicts 2 points of Constitution damage from trauma, and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.+ Breaking the Charge: Counter- Make an attack against a charging opponent who passes within 10ft, attack inflicts an additional 5d6 points of damage and potentially knocks foe prone. Adamantine Lancer’s Edge: Boost- Mounted charge inflicts an additional 10d6 points of damage and ignores damage reduction and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.+ 8th Indomitable Charger’s Stance: Stance- Mount and rider do not provoke attacks of opportunity for moving and act under freedom of movement. Deadly Blow: Strike- Make a melee attack against a target, inflicting 12d6 points of additional damage and stunning the target for one round. Slaying Lance: Strike- Make an attack against a mounted opponent’s mount, potentially kills mount or inflicts 8d8 points of additional damage. 9th Piercing Charge of the Dread Lancer: Strike- Make a mounted charge attack at a target creature and both rider and mount make a full attack at +10 bonus to hit, each hit inflicting an additional 40 point of damage and does not provoke attacks of opportunity. copyright sorcererstudios.com |
