Quinques are quadrapadal chimera-tic creature that is bred and raised in captivity as a riding creature, beast of burden  and companion. For all purposes the Quinques personality and anatomy is similar to that of a horse but their outward appearance is that of several creatures including horns like a ram, feathered main and tail and spotted coat similar to a jaguar. They are the most adaptable of the riding creatures in Ilysador able to tolerate any climate. Differences exist in plumage and coat coloring. The age of a quinques can be told by its horns, older quinques have spectacular horn growth.
