The devourer is a strange looking creature with four small legs which it pulls into its body when in flight.  It can move, very slowly, across the ground on these legs if forced too.  Its body is roughly shaped like an arc with a stinger on the lower end and its massive jaws on the upper portion.  Horned protrusions jut out from its body in various places and a pair of bee-like wings, constantly in motion, are set upon its back.

Combat

The zerg devourer is truly a fearsome opponent, able to rend victims with a powerful bite inflicting 2d8+7 points of damage and sting that inflicts 1d12+7 points of damage and fills their body with poison.  The devourer, however, has an even more deadly weapon at its disposal its breath weapon of corrosive acid which not only burns victims but also covers them with small spores, inhibiting action.
Breath Weapon (Ex): The Devourer is able to, once every 1d4 rounds, expel a noxious cloud of corrosive venom which it stores in sacks set just below its mouth.  This cloud fills an area 15 feet in diameter and inflicts 10d8 points of acid damage, victims may attempt a reflex save (DC 25) to suffer only half damage.  Furthermore it causes those caught within the cloud to be affected as if they were under the effects of a slow spell (Fort DC 25 to resist).  Any creature that was forced to make a save to avoid damage must make a second to avoid the slowing effect, caused by hundreds of tiny spores that adhere to their skin.
Poison (Ex): The devourer's body generates poison in small sacks near its stinger.  This poison is identical to wyvern poison (Injury DC 17, 2d6 Con/2d6 Con).
Fast Healing (Ex): A devourer heals damage extremely fast, recovering 5 hit points each round.
