During the Great War armies of arcane and divine casters summoned in powerful extra planar creatures of battle, horrific construct abominations were assembled through magic, and fueled by their deities presence poured forth a surge of magical energies to devastate their foes. The energetic exertion was so intense that the subtle magical fields overloaded causing massive planar rifts to open.
