The Gargun

Gargun characters possess the following racial traits.
- +4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, +4 Constitution, -2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma.
- Medium: As Medium creatures, feral garguns have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
- Space/Reach: 5 feet/5 feet.
- A gargun's base land speed is 40 feet.
- Darkvision out to 60 feet.
- Weapon Proficiency: A gargun is proficient with all simple weapons.
- +2 natural armor bonus.
- Natural Weapons: 2 Claws (1d6+str bonus slashing damage).
- Powerful Build (Ex): Whenever a gargun is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), the gargun is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. A feral gargun is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature's special attacks based on size (such as improved grap or swallow whole) can affect him. A gargun can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. The benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject's size category.
- Mountain Movement (Ex): A Gargun can make standing long jumps and high jumps as if they were running long jumps and high jumps. He can engage in accelerated climbing (climbing half his speed as a move action) without taking the -5 penalty on the Climb check.
- Acclimated (Ex): Garguns do not take penalties for high altitude.
- Cold Resistance 5
- Gargun's gain the Scent ability.
- Automatic Languages: Gol-Kaa, Home Region. Bonus Languages: Common, Dwarven, Undercommon, Orc, Goblin.
- Favored Class: Barbarian.


Gargun's can take up to three levels in "Gargun" at any time. These Racial Class levels do not incur a multiclassing penalty when taken with other classes.

Hit Dice: d10
Base Attack Bonus: Good.
Saving Throws: Good Fortitude, Good Reflex, Poor Willpower.

Class Skills: Climb (Str), Hide (Dex), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str).
Skill Points at 1st Character Level: (2 + Int modifier) x 4.
Skill Points Each Additional Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class Features
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Garguns with levels only in Gargun (no actual class levels) are proficient in the use of simple weapons and are able to use light armor.

Ability Bonuses: At 1st level, the Gargun gains a +2 Strength bonus. At 2nd level, he gains a +2 constitution bonus. At 3rd level, he gains a +2 Dexterity bonus.

Improved Natural Attack: At 1st level, a gargun gains the Improved Natural Weapon (Claw) feat as a bonus feat.

Improved Natural Armor (Ex): At 3rd level, a gargun gains the Improved Natural Armor feat as a bonus feat.
