Psyderial


A powerful psionic crystal structure that provides specific spell/power -like abilities across a large portion of a city, structure or area. 

Initial Cost 250,000GP or equivalent BP


Initial Cost: The base cost simply covers the construction and empowering the creation to broadcast the spells/powers over an area using a combination of the Widen and Enlarge Metamagic principles. By weaving these two principles together the Psyderial can attain a full broadcast of the spells up to 3,000' in a hemispherical area. Range maybe able to be amplified by constructing addition satellite psyderials capable of enhancing the initial one. This of course requires increase cost and time. 

The Initial Time Required for creating is 100 days. 

Secondary Cost: Each Spell/Power that is placed into the casting/creation costs additional material components added to the initial creation.  Each spell/ power added is as follows:

(Spell level x caster level x 2000 gp) x2. If the effect is based on a spell with a duration measured in rounds, multiply the cost by 4. If the duration of the spell is 1 minute/level, multiply the cost by 2, and if the duration is 10 minutes/level, multiply the cost by 1.5. If the spell has a 24-hour duration or greater, divide the cost in half.  If the spell requires initial spell components this must be added to the cost. 

The Secondary Time Required : Additional time is required adding imbuing the creation with the specific spells/pwers required. This time is calculated as 3 days for each spell x the spells level. Each spell/power placed into the creation takes a total of 24 hours per spell level. The caster can only work for 8 hours in a 24 hour period and then must rest for 8 hours in a 24 hour period. The 8 hours must be continuous and without interruption.

Required Feat: The castor is required to have the Craft Wondrous Item feat.

Required Skill: The crafter is required to have the Spellcraft skill. After each spell has been placed into the creation a spell craft check of (DC30+Spell level must be made) If the check fails then the spell/ power did not hold and must be placed into the creation again. Each failure results in a 1% cumulative effect of ruining the entire process. 

Additional Requirements: The castor must have the ability to cast the spell or manifest the power. If it is a wizard they can cast form their spell book.  Casting from a spell book cuts the secondary casting time down to 1 day. In addition a scroll can be used in place of a spell book.
